Day 01 Kathmandu to Kerung
Altitude: 2,800m/9,187ft
Distance: 177km, 6 - 7 hours drive
Accommodation: Guest House
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast we begin our drive to Kerung early in the morning. We need to drive 154km to reach Rasuwagadi. From here we drive for an additional 23 km to reach Kerung. Since we pass through Langtang National Park, we are required to deal with a number of check-posts. Overnight stay in Kerung.

Day 02 Rest day in Kerung to acclimatize
Altitude: 2,800m/9,187ft
Accommodation: Guest House
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast we will take a small walk around Kerung village. Spending an extra day in Kerung will help us acclimatize to the high altitude, thus preparing us for the journey ahead. Overnight at the same guesthouse.

Day 03 Drive from Kerung to Saga
Altitude: 4,600m/15,093ft
Distance: 197km, 5 - 6 hours drive
Accommodation: Guest House
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast we start our drive. Enjoy the view of snow capped mountains; we will cross the high pass of Lalung La Pass (5000m) where a magnificent view of high Himalayas can be seen such as Gaurishanker, Shishapangma, and Langtang Himal. We will be crossing the holy river Bhramaputra. Overnight at hotel in Saga.

Day 04 Drive from Saga to Manasarovar
Altitude: 4,590m/15,060ft
Distance: 370 km Driving: 6-7 hrs drive

Today is the most auspicious day for all of us as we will see the first glimpse of holy Kailash and the sacred Lake Mansarovar. It is a lifetime achievement; here, we will relax and explore the Mansarovar area. Overnight, we will stay in a tent/camp or guesthouse.

Day 05 Parikrama of Mansarovar by Bus/Jeep. Drive to Rakshas Lake
Altitude: 4,575m/15,006ft

Early Morning Havan Puja on the Lake. After Lunch, We will pack up and drive to Darchen via Visiting Raksas Lake. Overnight at Darchen Guesthouse. We will pack our back pack and repack our luggage for Parikrama Days. One Duffle bag per two people is allowed.

Day 06 First day of Kora: hiking to Dira Puk Monastery
Altitude: 5,120m/16,799ft
Hiking: 5-6 hours

Today, we begin our kora of Mt. Kailash. The first day out of Darchen involves a six-hour hike in a deep valley through walls of red rock. We continue across the plain to Shershong. We further cross a bridge leading to Chhuku Gompa high on the hill visible from the valley. The trail leads to Dira puk from where we will have a stunning view of the north face of Mt. Kailash.  Overnight in Dirapuk.

Day 07 Second day of Kora: hike to Zutul-puk
Altitude: 4,790m/15,716ft
Hiking: 6-7 hours 
Accommodation: Guest House/tent
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Today will be the most difficult section of our journey.  We climb Drolma-la Pass at 5,750m/19,910ft. The pass whose name literally means the pass of Tara is beautiful and is filled with five-colored praying flags. From Drolma-la Pass, we descend to Dzutul-puk. At Dzutul-puk, we come across the incredible Thugje Zinbu (Lake of Compassion) and a few ancient meditative caves. Overnight in Dzutul-puk.

Day 08 Kora ends, Drive to New Dongba
Altitude: 4,430m/14530ft
Hiking: 5-6 hours
Accommodation: Guest House/tent
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

We cover around 10km distance and end our kora around Mt. Kailash today. After the completion of kora, we drive to Darchen. From Darchen we drive to New Dongba to spend the night. 

Day 09 New Dongba to Saga 
Altitude 4,600m/15088ft
Distance: 400km 6 - 7 hours drive
Accommodation: Guest House
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Today we drive to Saga. On the way, we enjoy spectacular views of high mountains and different valleys in the Tibetan side. Overnight at Saga.

Day 10 Drive from Saga to Kyurung
Altitude 4,600m/15088ft
Distance: 5 - 6 hours drive
Accommodation: Guest House
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

We retrace our journey back to Kerung from Saga. Kerung is a border town where we will spend the night. Overnight at a hotel in Kerung.

Day 11 Drive from Kyurung to Kathmandu 
Altitude: 1350m/4428ft
Distance: 177km, 6 - 7 hours drive
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

We clear our customs in Kerung before driving back to Kathmandu. Overnight Hotel in Kathmandu.

Your tour Guide is Tibetan Certified Guide. He is in good communicate English, knows the places you would visit and make a special look after throughout the trip. 



Health & Altitude Problems:
Traveling in Tibet involves high altitude and can be strenuous. Clients with heart and lung problems or blood diseases should consult their doctor before booking the trip. Very rare cases of altitude sickness have been reported. Simple headache; fever, loss of appetite or stomach disorders can happen before the acclimatization. Some advice: drink approx. 3 liters of water per day, do not strain yourself, move slowly, breathe deeply and take regular rests. 

Customs & Airport
:
There is no prohibition on still and video cameras, tape recorders or radios as long as they are registered with a custom official. Printed matters considered unsuitable by the Chinese Government are prohibited, Customs regulations forbid the ex- port of art objects created prior to 1959 or souvenirs in amounts deemed to be excessive. There is only one airport in Tibet and only one international flight to Kathmandu, Nepal is in operation.


Clothing & Equipments:

From March to October warm clothes are required due to cold. However, a jacket and a sweater are advised throughout the year as the weather may unexpectedly change at any time.

Meals & Accommodations:
This tour is based with full board basis. You can eat at Chinese/Tibetan restaurants throughout the tour, foods are very nice and you can have your choice of food with your own taste.


Your accommodations will be provided a twin share room with attached bath throughout the tour. Single room supplement will be charge US$250 extra if any one required.
