In clear weather, magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land. Day 02: Drive to Ta Dzong & trek to Jili Dzong 3,480 m 4-5 hrs trek
The Druk Path Trek begins today. First, we drive to Ta Dzong (National Museum) in Paro and instantly kick off for the effortful trek that climbs up more than 1000m. In the beginning, the trek treads along the gravel trail that cross passes farmlands and the trek soon traverses up to the top on a steep ridge. Beyond the ridge top, trek leads through the beautiful pine forests to Damche Gom. 100 meters down from Damche Gom lies Jili Dzong, our campsite for the night.

Day 03: Trek to Jangchulakha 3770m 4-5 hrs trek
The second day of the trek begins with a steep uphill climb for almost ninety minutes and then the trail turns out to become little bit gradual. Eventually the trek today goes across dense woods comprising low alpine species of trees and dwarf rhododendrons trees. During the trek trekkers get to feel the alpine environment as summer yak herders camps and the Himalayas come closer compared to the previous day.

Day 04: Trek to Jimgelang Tsho 3870m 4-5 hrs trek
Today, the course chases a ridge with the best sight of Himalayan peaks and the valleys down are exceptionally great to view. On reaching our campsite, which is  Jimgelang Tsho Lake, trekkers happiness goes beyond the limit as the lake is the natural abode of giant sized trout.

Day 05: Trek to Simkotra Tsho 4110m 4-5 hrs trek
Most of the trek today goes through the low alpine region, which comprises  dwarf rhododendron trees. Cross passing another beautiful glacial lake, Janetso Lake we encounter nomadic lifestyle as well in few of  yak herder camps. At the end of day, we arrive to our campsite, which is in close proximity to  Simkotra Tsho Lake.

Day 06: Trek to Phajoding 3750m 3-4 hrs trek
Trek today begins with a gentle uphill climb. On a bright sunny day the trek today caters magnificent views of Mount Gangkar Puensum, the highest mountain in Bhutan as well as the neighboring peaks. As the trek today also goes to the top of small pass 4200m, the thrill of walking adventure can be felt today. Beyond the pass, we trek down to  Phajodhing. We set our camps just above Phadjoding Monastery.

Day 07: Trek to Mothitang 2620m 3 hrs trek & drive to Thimpu; Evening sightseeing tour of Thimpu
Trek today goes downhill through the beautiful blue pinewood. Leisurely three hours walk brings you to Mothitang  from where you will be driven to Thimpu. Later in the evening you will stroll around Thimpu. We will visit the Handicrafts Emporium, where all types of Bhutanese handicrafts are made and sold, overnight at Hotel.

Day 08: Early morning drive to Paro 75 minutes drive, hike to Taktshang Monastery
Today, we will drive early in the morning to Paro, which is a scenic 75 minutes drive. On arriving Paro, we will be transferred to our hotel. After a short rest,  we then drive beyond Satsam Chorten to hike up (or horse ride) to the Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s nest).  The horse ride up to the cafeteria will take around 1.5hrs. At the view point, you will enjoy the stunning view of the monastery, where Guru Padmasambhava landed on the back of a tigress in the 8th century. We then walk back to the road point and visit Kyichu Lhahang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, overnight at hotel.
