The ethnic villages of Ghandruk (HQ of Annapurna) and Chhomrong Village are the most intimidating village trekkers encounter during the trek. Also each two trekker would have one Sherpa helper for carrying your trekking bags.
There is no way to prepare for altitude other than to spend time at altitude. Being in very good physical condition will help ameliorate some of the exhaustion that people often feel, but it will not prevent altitude caused medical problems such as Acute Mountain Sickness. This itinerary is designed with a high degree of awareness of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) in mind and to ensure a comfortable and safe adventure trek in the Himalayas. Staying well hydrated and getting plenty of rest may help.
The maximum elevation of this trek will be reached at ABC at altitude of 4130m above sea level. Obviously this altitude range is high, but as we would be e range of altitude, and we are hiking from the 820m to this altitude range with enough days of hiking en route, it is not considered a high risk zone for AMS. However, AMS could affect to the peoples indifferently.

his first assignment was a group of two trekkers from Canada and Australia whom he took to EBC…that being his first trip, it required him to ask a lot of questions to other fellow guides…he learnt a lot.
his family is now in Kathmandu….he has two kinds..a 12 yo son and a 7 yo daughter…and his wife…..when he is not on trek , all he does is wait for the next group to arrive so that he can go to the mountains.
He believes that it is important to give tourists a unique taste of places they visit- be it local animals or flora and fauna, celebrations or culinary experiences. He tries his best to always give the tourists a close view of the life in the Himalayas beyond just the majestic mountains.
Born in Burlang, Gorkha District, Ishwor first came to Kathmandu in 1999 to get enrolled in a college to complete his under-graduation.
It was during the final year of his under-graduation that he got into tourism to support his financial instability. A novice, he first went to the Annapurna Circuit as a porter carrying a 30 kg goods on his back. He did the same for half a dozen trips, An earnest man, he waspromoted to be the porter cum guide for Annapurna trek and later guided a trek to Everest Base Camp.
He lives with his family in Kathmandu. A family guy, he loves to cook at home and help with other household chores along with assisting his children with school assignments.
His friends call him a jolly fellow. He loves dancing to folk tunes...and occasionally sings during the recreational activities in trek. He says, "If we consider going to Everest Base Camp to trek, it is not just about Everest, the cultural and natural extravanza along the way is what make the trip special [...] The fun of the trek is not in the destination but in what you meet along that way…and in Nepal one meets a lot!"

I just want to thank you for organizing my Nepal trekking trip to ABC. Thanks to my guide, Abhisek I had a really good time. He was really professional and knew the trek very well. Everything was always well organized and if I had any requests he was always able to accommodate them. I am sorry I could not meet again when I got back from Chitwan, to express my gratitude in person, but my time in Kathmandu was limited and there was a lot to do.
I hope to comeback to Nepal soon, and I will look for your help when organizing my next trip.

Awesome trekking to Annapurna Base Camp, Advanced Adventure made it all the most memorable!
Awesome trekking to Annapurna Base Camp, Advanced Adventure made it all the most memorable!
Doing the ABC trek in Nepal was awesome and Advanced Adventures made it all the more memorable! Advanced Adventures has been very hospitable to us throughout our entire trip!
We were very impressed when Chet took time off to personally brief us on the itinerary upon our arrival and hosting us a farewell dinner before our departure. Price was very affordable and itinerary suited us very well, and provided us the flexibility to spend an extra day in Pohkara. We were also impressed with Chet’s ability to arrange for us to return from Pohkara to Kathmandu by flight despite the strikes.
We also had the pleasure of having Ram as a very experienced, responsible and friendly guide took good care of us during the ABC trek. He even went the extra mile to bring us around Pohkara and Kathmandu even after we completed the ABC trek.
We definitely recommend others to consider signing up with Advanced Adventures (http://www.advadventures.com/) on the adventure of a lifetime!

We no doubt recommend Advanced Adventures to anyone willing to go trekking in Nepal.
We are just back from a 12 days trek on the Annapurna Circuit, from Besi Sahar to Jomsom, and we absolutely loved it. We arrived in Nepal without having booked our trek. We had looked what was on offer online though and liked Advanced Adventures website.
Once in Kathmandu we paid a visit to their office. That’s when we met Chet who really took the time to explain everything to us in detail and answered our questions. We booked our trek about a week ahead only and met with our guide, Iswor, before the trek.
It was just the two of us, and Ishow, and our porter, Bisnu, took really great care of us. We felt really safe and learned a lot of interesting things while walking. Accommodation and food were much better than we would have expected at such high altitudes. Needless to say that the views were breathtaking.

I wish to thanks Advanced Adventures for a fabulous lifetime adventure to ABC. ABC was beautiful! I am extremely satisfied with the services of Advanced Adventure from the 1st day of landing in Kathmandu to the last day on departure back home.
Your guide and his porter, was the best! From ensuring that the trek was slow in order to acclimatize, meals are properly prepared, to ensuring that we feel comfortable all the time.
I look forward to come back to Nepal again, my plans now with EBC next year, and definitely with Advanced Adventures.
