One of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal, Tent Peak 5695m is an opportunity to explore the best and almost every bit of fascinating Annapurna Region. The peak that demands a bit more than the challenging trek in Nepal is locally known as Tharpu Chuli.

Trekkers need sound physical condition and high spirit to endure elevated Himalayan conditions, while undertaking the challenge to conquer the Tent Peak. Our tailor made itinerary of Tent Peak Climbing allows you to acclimatize properly as it traverses many major highlights of Annapurna Region including Poonhill and the Annapurna Base Camp itself.  Twelve days of pure walking fun that winds through the pleasant woodlands of Annapurna Conservation Area Project frequently encounters cultural rich Gurung villages. Beginning from the naturally blessed town, Pokhara and to reach the sheer elevation of 5695m is truly an adventure that unfolds so many amazing highlights nestling at the foothill of Himalayan giant- Annapurna.

Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu
Altitude: 1350m/4428 ft
Meals: Welcome Dinner

On arrival to Kathmandu; we will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the traveler’s recommended Hotel Blue Horizon. Later we meet and take you to our head office, brief your upcoming Tent Peak Climbing Adventure with us and introduce our trekking team. Evening, we host welcome dinner at one of the finest local restaurant with music and ethnic dance.
Overnight Kathmandu.

Day 02 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara
Altitude: 820m/2510 ft
Distance of driving: 6 to 7 hours of driving
Meals: Breakfast

We depart to Pokhara by tourist bus early in the morning. This drive is through the local highway, via through local villages, small hills and riversides. This drive takes approx of 6 to 7 hours. Once reaching to Pokhara bus park, we transfer you to hotel in Pokhara at lakeside. Explore remaining time with lakeside and over night at Pokhara.

Day 03 Drive to Nayapul( Trekking starting point) & trek to Tikhadhunga 
Altitude: 1,540m/5,052 ft
Distance of driving: 1 hr drive, 4 hrs trek
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Today, we take a short drive continues along with the great scenery passing through several countryside villages all the way up to Nayapul, where from our adventure begins from the warm sub tropical region and follows the Modi River to Birethanti where you can see the confluence of the two river of Modi and Bhurungdi khola. We trek to Bhurungdi Khola with scenery of waterfall, high green forest and follow the stabilized trail and after 3-4 hrs continuing walk will reach at Tikhadhunga village for overnight stay.

Day 04 Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani
Altitude: 2800m/9186ft
Distance of walking: 5-6 hrs walks
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Morning we prepare for the long uphill and start with steeply ascends on the long stone steps to Ulleri village with the amazing landscape and Annapurna Himalayan scenery. This scenery gives you inner power to climb up these steps and immerse you to walk more. After few hours of long hard climb with several breaks in between reaching at Ulleri village, from here the path is gradual on the winding trail through the cool shade of forest and stream sound, we continue to walk in the midst of the giant rhododendron forest and finally reach Ghorepani for overnight stop. Ghorepani Deurali is a busy spot on the ridge in the midst of the beautiful rhododendron forest, offering fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range.


Day 05 Morning- Hike to Poon Hill & Trek to Tadapani
Altitude: At Poon hill 3,210m/10,531 ft & at Tadapani 2650m/8694 ft
Distance of walking: 6-7 hrs walk
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Morning, we start our hike up to Poon Hill, one of the panoramic view point of this Annapurna. En-route the trail offers the glimpse of aurora walking through the pleasant rhododendron forest. Pun hill named after the hill tribe Pun, inhabitants of Ghorepani/Shikha village. This is wide range of panoramic scenery from the far western Himalaya of Dolpo, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna including Mt. Machhapuchre (Fish Tail) and all the way to Manasalu Himalayan range. It is picturesque Himalayan scenery and good memorable moments spending an hour to the top. After a great time return back to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue trek to onward destination, the walk passes through the Rhododendron, Pine and fir forest with up and downs hill and finally you will reaches at Tadapani for overnight at local teahouse. This is a great place surrounding by rhododendron forest with closest view of Mt. Fish Tail.

Day 06 Tadapani to Chhomrong
Altitude: 1,950m/6,397 ft
Distance of walking:  5-6 hrs walk
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

The trail is steeply downhill to the Kimrong Khola through clean forest of oaks and rhododendrons with closest view of the Annapurna south & Fish Tail. After crossing the suspension bridge the trail follows up to the Gurjung village for your lunch stop. Further trek leads uphill for half an hour, once at the top of the ridge the walk is fairly easy all the way to village of Chhomrong the last village and the gateway to the Sanctuary. One of the biggest Gurung village in the surrounding area and we stop here in hotel.

Day 07 Chhomrong- Dovan or Himalayan hotel
Altitude: 2,900m/9,514 ft
Distance of walking: 6-7 hrs
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Today, our trail leads to the long terrace village & farm fields as you descent to the Chhomrong Khola, after the bridge its uphill most of the way for 2 hours till a small place of Sinuwa hill.

Further trail leads downhill for 2 hour through the bamboo bushes till you reach at Bamboo, a place in the midst of the bamboo and rhododendron and oaks forest with couple of teahouses. After lunch stop here an hour walks on the gradual uphill path brings you to Dovan for overnight stay, Dovan means confluence of river where is few teahouses surrounding by bamboo forest. If you still feel good walking for an hour further you could reach Himalayan hotel to over night at same day.

Day 08 Dovan- Machhapuchre Base Camp- Annapurna Base Camp
Altitude: 4140m,13582 ft
Distance of walking: 5-6 hrs
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

The trail continues for about 2 hrs. from here the route winds up steeply to a bank of rock and then level out, running through thickets of Bamboo at the bottom of the gorge, keeping always on the west side of the river, then reaching to a small shrine at Panchen Barah, from here the trail climbs to Himalaya Hotel. It’s about an hour walk, first on a rocky trail through forests then up to the Hinku cave, where from the trail crosses a ravine and major avalanche track just further till Deurali (3,000m/9,840 ft) for lunch. After lunch the trail continues into the sanctuary, it crosses two wide avalanche tracks on a narrow trail that huddles up against the cliffs and get Bagar. After here climb across more avalanche paths cross a moraine, then climb towards an area known as Machhapuchre Base Camp (MBC) for lunch break. After wards the walk leads you in the heart of the Sanctuary at the ABC for overnight stay. The trail follows uphill for few hours passing a few roofless shepherds huts along the side of a moraine and this area is cold and windy and often snowbound. This is superb scenery of the Himalaya and can be seen rarely this amazing panoramic view of snow capped mountains surrounding you. Full day you have time to explore and relax at the sanctuary in your way.

Day 09 Trek to Tent Peak Base Camp
Altitude: 4400m/14432ft
Distance of walking:  4-5 hrs
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Traversing across the glaciated mountain passes we slide down to the glacial region lying on the southern side of Mt. Annapurna. Then, we chase the cairned route over the ice before climbing the moraine nestling on the opposite bank of the glacier and arrive at Tent Peak Base Camp, which is an ideal flat region for camping. Savor the magnificence of sparkling Himalayan peaks that range from 6000 to 8000m. Enjoy the views of the high mountains from 6000ers to 8000ers.

Day 10 Ascend to Tent Peak High Camp
Altitude: 4850m/15908ft
Distance of walking:  3-4 hrs
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Today, we go through a challenging day as today’s walk involve sheer ascent to the High Camp of Tent Peak.  On arriving at the High Camp keep your eyes wide open to feast them with dramatic views of of Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Virgin Fishtail, and many other snow-covered lofty mountains. The route to high camp, which is a glacial bowl demands efforts to ascend the sheer nival hill. Observe, plan and prepare at the high camp for next day summit.

Day 11 Summit Tharpu Chuli (Tent Peak) then back to ABC
Altitude: 5,695m/18679ft
Distance of walking: 7- 8 hrs
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Set off to summit the Tent Peak as early as possible today. As the most challenging part of our Tent Peak Climbing Adventure begins, we traverse across a small glacier to arrive at the base that house several fluted shaped snowy structures. Beyond that we fix the climbing ropes to the ridge before the final summit. Tiptoeing along the ridge, we summit the peak, from where the view seems no less that the snowy paradise. After the successful summit we retrace the trail back to Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 12 Trek to Bamboo
Altitude: 2,300m/7,544 ft
Distance of walking: 5- hrs walk
 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

This morning wake up with glimpse of sunrise view on top of the Annapurna ‘I’ and after a great time retrace the journey back to Bamboo for the overnight. As you know that here as well few guest house settled for the purposes of tourism service. You can rest and relax at the evening with a good memorable view of the many snow capped peaks and enjoy the dinner.

Day 13 Bamboo to Jhinu Danda
Altitude: 1,780m/5,859 ft
Distance of walking: 5-6 hrs walk
 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

This morning walk leads to a short climb to Khuldi Ghar and retract to Sinuwa hill, here after long downhill to the Chhomrong Khola and trek up to the Chhomrong.After a lunch break trek steeply descend towards the Jhinu for overnight stay. You may have chance to visit natural hot spring down to the stream and enjoy the dip bath and relax.

Day 14 Jhinu Danda to Pokhara
Distance of walking: 4-5 hrs
Distance of driving: 2 hrs drives
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch 

This will be long day walk follows the river Modi most of the way reaching at Landruk village from here follow the downhill path leading back to the Modi river reaching at Syauli Bazaar for lunch. The walk is pleasant most of the way following the Modi River and to Birethanthi and back to Nayapul. Our trek ends here and drives back to Pokhara lakeside for the overnight stop. Remaining time explore the surrounding lake side area and simply relax at the heart of Lake Town.

Day 15 Pokhara- Kathmandu
Distance of driving: 5-6 hrs drives
Meals: Breakfast & Farewell Dinner

After breakfast, we drive to back to Kathmandu by tourist bus and transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. Refreshed up; evening we meet, comment about your trip with us and host a farewell dinner at one of the typical Nepalese restaurant. Over night at Kathmandu.

Day 16 Final Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination

Meals: Breakfast

It is your free morning, breakfast at hotel and on time transfer to airport and our trip ends here.
