This Lhasa Tour( Forbidden City in Tibet) is an introduction tour in Lhasa. This tours visit to main highlight if Lhasa city, including, Drepung Monastery ,Sera Monastery , Potala Palace ,Jokhang Temple , Barkhor Street.

This tour also provide oppertunity to witness Tibetan Monks, Tibetan Peoples, their richest culture and traditions in Lhasa. This tour suits to any peoples of any age, but as Lhasa is at altitude of 3600m from sea level, you should be coming with Diamox for altititude prevantion in case you will  have any altitude issue. But regular travellers should have no worries of altitude on this trip.

Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Lhasa Altitude 3600m Bed/Breakfast-60km/1 hr

On your arrival to Lhasa airport, Advacned Adventures Tibetan Guide will pick up you and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa.Lhasa is an Himalayan capital fo Tibet. Lhasa at an altitude of 3,650mt, is the situated on the north bank of Kyichu River. Lhasa in Tibetan means “Place of the God”,the resident of Dalai Lama. Free day for acclimatization. O/N at Hotel in Lhasa. 

Day 02Cultural Tour in Lhasa- Bed/ Breakfast

After breakfast proceed for full day cultural sightseeing tour in Lhasa including Potala Palace Potala Palace in one of the most beautiful monuments in Tibet with 1,000 room and 13 stores to explore this is probably the most popular tourist attraction in Tibet and Jokhang Temple, Jokhang Temple which was constructed back on 07th century attracts hundred of tourist every year. This temple has a very huge sakyanumi Buddha statue and is considered the holist place in Tibet. Barkhor Market Palace, Barkhor street is the centrifugal tide of pilgrims then you can see the several small, fascination temple into the route . Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03Sightseeing & Cultural Tour in Lhasa Bed/Breakfast

Today, you will also have full day sightseeing in Lhasa City. Visit includes to Sera Monastery which is specialized in the fundamental precepts of Buddhism. Sera survived the ravage of the cultural revolution with light damage, although many of the lesser colleges were destroyed. Further visit to Drepung Monastery which was once one of the world’s largest monasteries. Drepung was founded in 1416. Visit other tibetan monuments and local markets and life in evening. O/N at Lhasa.

Day 04Departure from Lhasa Breakfast

Morning breakfast in Lhasa hotel then you will be transfer to airport or train station for your onward travel. If you flying back to Kathmandu or flying in any mainland city in China, you will be transfer to airport. If departing Lhasa by train, you will be droped to train station( You have to let it know to our guide), and our trip ends!

Our Tour group
This is our group based tour thus peoples from any countries can join us on this tour. We would mostly have a group of 8 to 20 peoples on this tour.

Your tour Guide is Tibetan Certified Guide. He is in good communicate English, knows the places you would visit and make a special look after throughout the trip.
 
 
Health & Altitude Problems
Traveling in Tibet involves high altitude and can be strenuous. Clients with heart and lung problems or blood diseases should consult their doctor before booking the trip. Very rare cases of altitude sickness have been reported. Simple headache; fever, loss of appetite or stomach disorders can happen before the acclimatization. Some advice: drink approx. 3 liters of water per day, do not strain yourself, move slowly, breathe deeply and take regular rests.
 

Customs & Airport
There is no prohibition on still and video cameras, tape recorders or radios as long as they are registered with a custom official. Printed matters considered unsuitable by the Chinese Government are prohibited, Customs regulations forbid the ex- port of art objects created prior to 1959 or souvenirs in amounts deemed to be excessive. There is only one airport in Tibet and only one international flight to Kathmandu, Nepal is in operation.

Clothing & Equipments
From Oct. to March warm clothes are required due to cold and from April to September only light clothes will be enough. However, a jacket and a sweater are advised throughout the year as the weather may unexpectedly change at any time.



Meals & Accommodations
This tour is based with bed (accommodation) and breakfast basis only you have to look after your lunch and evening meals by yourself. Even though, there are many Chinese/Tibetan restaurants in Zhangmu, Nyalam and Shegar, foods are comparatively poor but foods at Sighatse, Gyantse and Lhasa are very nice and you can have your choice of food with your own taste.



Your accommodations will be provided a twin share room with attached bath except in Nyalam. During your tour we will use Kyichu Hotel or similar hotel in Lhasa, Gyantse Hotel or similar hotel in Gyantse, Wutse Grand Hotel or Manasarover Hotel in Xigatse, Shanghai hotel or similor hotel in Lhatse and Nyalum guest house in Nyalum. Single room supplement will be charge US$150.



Departure Dates
We can depart you for this tour at two times a week- Tuesday and Saturday. Except our fixed group departure date, if you need a private tour departure date, write us with your date and number of peoples for the trip.



We can operate this tour for the single peoples to a group. As more as your group is, the more discount is offered on the trip. The set trip US$- 620 per person but if you come with group of friends, your trip cost would be less as we are offering group discount for the group. 4 peoples or more on the tour is- US$- 580 per person.
