Can I Accomplish This Trek Easily?
If you have, the extreme ability to walk around 6-8 hours a day with a light daypack and passionate feeling, this trek will be highly suitable as this is easy to moderate trek. It is fact that having walk in higher altitudes is definitely more physically demanding than walking in lower altitudes. Therefore, you need to be prepared to adjust in the high altitude.
At minimum, you should be jogging and exercising regularly at least 3 month prior to the start of the trek. If you have the subtle experiences on walking/trekking in high altitude, environment this trek will be really easier. Your Past hiking experiences may be worthy. To accomplish the trek you should have excellent health with average physical fitness, positive attitude, self-confidence and strong determination.

Passport & Visa Information
Nepal Visa is the easiest visa to obtain; you may buy your Nepal visa at your nearest Nepalese Embassy/ Consulate or Mission offices abroad or buy this upon on arrival to Kathmandu international airport as per your convenient. You have to have 2 passport size photographs, Visa fees in US cash & valid passport at least for 6 months valid at the starting of the trip.
Nationals of SAARC countries and China do not need visa when visiting Nepal. As per this rule, Indian nationals do not require visa.
Transit visa is provided for foreign nationality for 3 days. Visa must be obtained for staying over the initial period of three days. Currently, foreign national can obtain Nepalese visa from the following border.

In this Rara Lake Trek, the minimum group size would be two and maximum group size is ten or more on request. We can also organize private trip to solo person with single supplement cost. Our Guides, Trip & Safety
Because these hikes take you on the remote Himalayan region, it is very essential that you are accompanied with the very experienced and qualified & equipped leader for the safe and successful trip. We Advanced Adventures employee the local trek guide and stuff who are trained and qualified on the trip we worked on. Our guides are trained and licensed from Nepal Gov, certify from TAAN & Nepal Mountaineering Association. All of our leading Trekking and Climbing Guide are experience from last 8 to 10 years. We have train them specially for your trip, to cater the flexible needs of our peoples in the group joining from different countries, this double assure you that your trip is at the right and professional hands.
At every trip, there would be our one Trek leader and one assistance leader on each additional 2 peoples on the trek- this arrangement would ensure that even if any of our guide/ assistance guides get sick or if any travelers gets sick and need to be back or delay the days of walking, it would still works smoothly and there would not be any impact on our original trek plan. Also each two trekker would have one Sherpa helper for carrying your trekking bags.
Meals and Accommodations
While in Kathmandu, your accommodation is at 3 star deluxe hotel that has all the modern amenities to ensure you comfort stay and while in trek, your accommodation is at Mt. Lodge and Guest Houses. Mt. Lodges are clean and have comfortable beds. Our entire accommodation is at twin share unless stated but single supplement accommodation is also available on personal request at the additional cost of US$- 250.
In city, only breakfast is included on the offered trip itinerary but while in trek full board of meals is included (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, and Tea- Coffee). We provide you food from the local tea- house/ Mt. Lodge from en route. Breakfast and dinner is to be provided from the same tea- house/ guest house we would overnight but lunch would be en route in between.
Foods provided are depends on the availability of the Mt. lodges we would be staying but in general, you can have Nepalese foods (Dal Bhat), Tibetan fried bread, various soups, Momo’s (steamed dumplings), potatoes, pastas and even a version of pizza! So, over all you have a different choice of food on trek.
We do have two best seasons to attempt this Rara Lake Trek. As this trip is a big trip to you, we always suggest you to come at the right time of the year as far as possible.
Spring: - (March, April, May) - Best warmest time to trek. Rhododendron flowers in bloom- excellent trails and clear skies, best visibility. Good Temperature, warmest weather of the year.
Autumn:- (Mid September, October and November) - Excellent trails, clear blue skies, best visibility. Best Time to Trek
Winter Months: - (December, January and February) are also good, but it’s obviously colder. You have to be prepared for this. It is up to you to plan this trek at this cold time or not.
Summer: - Monsoon, so rain and visibility can be a big issue (from Mid June, July and August). We do not suggest you this time for the trek.
Our porter are fully equipped and insured for each trip they are undertaking with us. As you know that we are very sincere with the porter issues and their situation while on trek thus we make sure that our porter are fully prepared for the trip. We are closely working with International Porter Progress Association for the welfare and befit for the touristic porters. The maximum load carried by our porter is 20 to 25 KG maximum so be sure that your trekking bag so not load more than 12 KG.

Born in Bungkot village of Gorkha, Hom Rana is cheerful mountain guide with more two decades of experience. Most of the guests who trek Nepal with him thinks that he is a "cool" guide. Mr. Magar's engagement in trekking started when he was 15 years old (in year 1995). He went to Annapurna Circuit Trek and his first salary was a modest NRs 75. Hom Magar is passionate about trekking in the Himalayas. He talks fondly of the mountains, the people and the cultural heritage of Nepal.
Hom can play traditional Nepalese musical instruments like Madal and Flute. He is also fond of singing. He has a tiger face tattooed on his left arm and fondly tells his guests about the story behind it. He generally spends his free time with his family- cooking Momo and playing with his child.
He says that Nepal is a "small world with a lot to behold".
Born in Burlang, Gorkha District, Ishwor first came to Kathmandu in 1999 to get enrolled in a college to complete his under-graduation.
It was during the final year of his under-graduation that he got into tourism to support his financial instability. A novice, he first went to the Annapurna Circuit as a porter carrying a 30 kg goods on his back. He did the same for half a dozen trips, An earnest man, he waspromoted to be the porter cum guide for Annapurna trek and later guided a trek to Everest Base Camp.
He lives with his family in Kathmandu. A family guy, he loves to cook at home and help with other household chores along with assisting his children with school assignments.
His friends call him a jolly fellow. He loves dancing to folk tunes...and occasionally sings during the recreational activities in trek. He says, "If we consider going to Everest Base Camp to trek, it is not just about Everest, the cultural and natural extravanza along the way is what make the trip special [...] The fun of the trek is not in the destination but in what you meet along that way…and in Nepal one meets a lot!"
He is a man of various stories and you can talk about a variety of topics with him.
Born and raised in Gorkha, Keshar Gurung has almost 15 years of experience in trekking. After completing his school in Gorkha, he came to Kathmandu and started studying in Kathmandu while continuing trekking as well.
He was in search for a job to help him sustain in the capital when he got an opportunity to work as a porter for four German trekkers in Langang trek. The job was certainly not easy, provided him ample learning opportunities which he cherished.
His first trek as a guide was 30 days’ Annapurna Circuit Trek with a Spanish guest. He loves Everest Base Camp trek because showing Mt. Everest to his guests fills him with pride and happiness.
He lives with his wife and son in Kathmandu. He believes that tourists should come to Nepal because it offers diverse tourism opportunities. Mr. Gurung is serious on his assigned job, dedicated and ensure professonal services while he is in trekking with his clients.
Born and raised in Gorkha, Kim Rana came into the tourism sector through his cousin Hom Rana. He started as a porter and fondly remembers his first every trip. He carried 45 kg weight all the way from Jomsom to the Annapurna Base camp as a porter for a group of 14 Hungarian trekkers.
The content faces of the trekkers after long and adventurous trek motivates him to become an even better guide. His first trip as a full time guide was a 12 days Everest Base Camp Trek from Lukla with a group of Australian tourists.
Kim lives with his spouse with whom he has a son and daughter together. He has a metal workshop and works there when he is not trekking. He learned his trade as an apprentice under a friend who was a good metal worker.
Kim does not know how he has a seemingly Korean name. He asked his priest who gave him the name; he even doesn't have an answer. Kim speaks some Korean too. Once, a group of four Koreans started talking to him in Korean language. He knows some Korean too and started conversing to them. They ended up thinking he was a Korean too.
